PK52 Professor Desk

Description

A pioneer of modernism, Poul Kjærholm designed his Professor Desk and companion Student Desk (also at A+R) for the Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1955, where he had just begun working as a lecturer. With its slender lacquered steel frame, he specified a tabletop in oak veneer or reversible gray and black laminate. An optional drawer module adds convenient storage to this piece, which established Kjærholm’s signature mix of traditional craftsmanship and industrial motifs.
